The screen shot below shows one of the backroom pages to Blogger. It allows one to adjust how this blog loads, whether on a desktop or laptop computer or on a mobile device (right). In the era of BlackBerry and the tiny screen, the mobile device setting was important. I am wondering now if that is the case?
Checking StatCounter, I find that a good number of you are reading this blog from iPhone or Android devices.
Yesterday, a friend asked me why there were no links when looking at my blog on the phone. I showed them that one could scroll down and click on "view web version" and see the main view.
I also received a comment that one post showed up with black letters on a brown background. That post, on Oklahoma was a guest post and this was a formatting issue. Sometimes it is another colour and happens most often with copy/paste. The only way to avoid it, at least from what I know, is to paste it into a word document and then back in to blogger, but it takes time and has its own formatting issues.
Which brings me to my point. Is the "Mobile" setting still necessary?
If I remove this, can you function well with the regular page?
There is a little poll at the top of the blog.
Thanks.
